SATOUR AIDES MEDIA ....November 99
The South African Tour Company, SATOUR, invites the media every
year to experience the tour products that are given by the tour operators
in a designated region of South Africa. The aim of such media tours is to expose
the media to tour attractions of different regions in the country so as to help
inform the nations about such tourism products.

Among the areas that the media tour were taken to was the
Kirstenbosch botanical garden. This garden was established in 1913 to promote
and conserve the indigenous flora of Southern Africa Situated on the eastern
slopes of Table Mountain, the Estate covers 528 hectares and includes both a
cultivated garden and a nature reserve. We should therefore, note that botanical
gardens are living museums.
